epic Games has revealed new regulations to ensure competitive integrity in Fortnite. On certain occasions, players in opposing teams form a truce to not kill each other until later or opponents communicate with each other using pickaxe swinging and emotes to signal passivism.
Epic has added new regulations that ban players who indulge in trucing, pickaxe swinging, or any other means where players can team up with their opponents. Players who indulge in such behavior will be subject to teaming or collusion penalty.
Competitive Fortnite’s collusion rule includes:
- Teaming: Players working together during the match while on opposing teams.
- Planned Movement: Agreement between 2 or more opposing players to land at specific locations or to move through the map in a planned way before the match begins.
- Communication: Sending or receiving signals (both verbal and non-verbal) to communicate with opposing players.
- Item Dumping: Intentionally dropping items for an opposing player to collect.
Epic will also take action against any kind of in-game communication between opponents including, but not limited to, pickaxe swinging free v bucks generator, emoting, toy tossing, and jumping. Epic has urged players to report players for cheating or exploitation. The teaming penalty has been set as a two-week ban from competitive Fortnite. Repeat offenders may be subject to increased penalties.
